Couple dies in car accident on the way to their wedding

A young couple tragically died in a car accident earlier this month on the way to their wedding in Pittsburgh.

The couple’s car was rear-ended by a tractor trailer that was unable to stop for sudden traffic on Interstate 78 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The couple’s car then crashed into the back of a second tractor trailer, which caused three more tractor trailers to crash into each other. The accidents caused the couple’s car and two of the tractor trailers to start on fire.

The couple died in the accident, and three others suffered serious injuries. According to reports, there was traffic congestion on the interstate for over 11 hours after the crashes.

What should drivers do to avoid these rear-end collisions?

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, rear-end collisions are the most common type of motor vehicle accidents on the road. They can also be some of the deadliest.

You can avoid many rear-end collisions by maintaining a safe distance away from the car in front of you. This can help you from hitting the car in front of you, and it might give you time to pull off to the shoulder if you notice the car behind you is not stopping. Additionally, it is important keep an eye on your rear-view mirrors and watch for stopping traffic in the distance.

While the recent accident in Pennsylvania was especially tragic, any rear-end collision can be devastating to the people involved. If you or someone you love has been involved in a rear-end with a truck or tractor trailer, you might be able to receive compensation for your injuries.
